Grünhafercobs
NEW – The mildness and potency of the oat plant
AGROBS® GRÜNHAFERCOBS, grown in Bavaria, embody the mildness and potency of oats: low in starch, rich in crude fibre and particularly palatable, they are therefore a well-tolerated substitute for concentrates. Thanks to the moderate energy, protein and sugar content of green oats, they also provide a balanced feed source for horses with sensitive metabolisms or stomachs.
Why green oats rather than oats?
Oats (Avena sativa) have always been regarded as a concentrated feed, but not all horses tolerate starch-rich cereals. Sensitive horses need an alternative that provides them with energy without weighing them down.
And that is exactly what AGROBS® GRÜNHAFERCOBS, grown in Bavaria, offer. The whole plant is harvested after flowering but before the grains are fully formed. At this early stage, the plant is naturally rich in valuable crude fibre and low in starch. This allows for a steady release of energy, without glucose spikes, without affecting temperament and without putting strain on the stomach. Thanks to careful hot-air drying, essential nutrients are preserved and the cobs are free from mould and dust. The result is a pure, natural product that meets our standards for quality and digestibility.
A versatile and simple feed
Thanks to their naturally moderate energy, protein and sugar content, Grünhafercobs are an ideal substitute for concentrates or roughage. Furthermore, they are naturally palatable, which contributes to their high level of acceptance. As a single-ingredient feed, they can also be used as part of elimination diets, in cases of allergies and intolerances. As they soak easily, the cobs are also a good choice for older horses: they provide sufficient nutrients, even for horses that have difficulty chewing.
Whether for leisure horses, sport horses or older horses: AGROBS® GRÜNHAFERCOBS provide them with the gentle goodness of oats. Versatile, they promote the wellbeing of sensitive horses and enrich every feed ration with a tasty, natural product in the feed trough.
