Offer it to horses and other grazers, preferably without restriction, just like a lickstone.
Put them in a container in a dry, fairly dark place, not in the sun, and let the animals decide how much they want to take.
Seaweed oxidises / rusts under the influence of oxygen and light because it contains many metallic trace elements, which is less true for coarsely chopped seaweed than for finely ground seaweed.
If you're just starting out, start with a small handful a day, which some animals will probably eat quickly. When you notice that the intake is decreasing/needs are being met, you can add more.
Seaweed is not suitable for animals with thyroid problems.
For animals prone to oesophageal obstruction, it's best to offer seaweed dissolved in a bucket of water!
