All the raw materials come from certified organic and biodynamic crops.
The addition of molasses is designed to kick-start fermentation and is first consumed by the micro-organisms.
They will then multiply considerably to start using/converting the other ingredients as food and making them available for consumption.
In bokashi, the pre-biotics (fibre) undergo a fermentation process during which over 80 different effective micro-organisms, healthy bacteria, yeasts and fungi (pro-biotics) transform the material, producing a multitude of essential and easily absorbable nutrients, such as natural vitamins.
The long fermentation process (minimum 10 weeks) gives bokashi a strong microbial symbiosis/balance. When this packaging enters the stomach and intestine, these micro-organisms generate/maintain a healthy microbial balance.
