The Chinese Energy Approach

The good health of the osteoarticular system is linked to the energies of the "WOOD" and "WATER" elements. When these are deficient, the muscles, tendons, and joints are weakened. In this case, we are also in the presence of a favorable environment for rheumatism (FENG SHI BING), which is the breeding ground for osteoarthritis.

    Advice from Corinne,

    Dr. Veterinarian and Osteopath

"On average, plan a course of treatment for 6 to 8 weeks, repeating if necessary. In the case of a serious or persistent condition, it is possible to double or even triple the doses. Don't hesitate to ask us for advice!"

    • Not suitable for inflammatory conditions.

    • In cases of inflammation, Equi TAO-YAN should be used as a first-line treatment before Equi TAO-SPORT. Signs of inflammation may include warmth upon palpation or worsening of the problem during exercise. • In older horses, mobility problems are most often grouped under the term "osteoarthritis." To be more precise, it's important to distinguish between the "rheumatic" and "arthritic" components, even though the two are related.

    1) Rheumatism

This is an obstruction syndrome that indicates poor energy circulation in a given area, leading to pain and sometimes swelling.

In this case, X-rays show nothing abnormal. Simply observe your animal to determine if it suffers from rheumatism: you will notice an improvement in warm weather and when it exercises. You will also notice a worsening in cold and windy weather or if it moves little because it stays in the stall.

Rheumatism can also become inflammatory, which complicates the situation, but this is not always the case.

    2) Osteoarthritis

This is a lesion of the cartilage. This abnormal wear and tear is always the result of rheumatism. Osteoarthritis is visible on an X-ray, which remains an unequivocal diagnostic tool.

In this case, it's at the end of the workout that you'll most likely notice the problem, due to the inflammation.

In summary, it's important to know that the presence of osteoarthritis is always linked to rheumatism, but the reverse is not true.

    • If osteoarthritis is present, it is recommended to start with a course of Equi TAO-SPORT (for 3 to 6 weeks), then continue with Equi TAO-OLD. If the problem is solely rheumatism, Equi TAO-SPORT is sufficient.

    • Equi TAO-SPORT is a product particularly suitable for animals that exert sustained effort or competition horses. Plan a course of treatment 1 to 2 months before the start of the season. It is also possible to use half doses for an even longer period. It all depends on the desired effect. • For older horses, it may be useful to administer a maintenance treatment every year.

    • Regarding Equi TAO-SPORT, no adverse effects or incompatibility with other products have been observed to date.

    • We draw your attention to the possibility of possible variations in the color, odor, or texture of the plants used in our products. This is normal because all our ingredients are of natural origin and therefore subject to the vagaries of the weather, just as the same wine will vary from one year to the next. Of course, the properties are the same and the active ingredient content is identical, regardless of the batch.
