Description of the feed
Flaxseed is high in protein and a rich source of essential fatty acids (including lysine, an amino acid that horses cannot produce themselves and must therefore obtain from their feed) and omega-3 fatty acids. Occasionally add a small handful to the feed.
Warning:
Give your horse a treatment when his coat changes or if you suspect he has ingested too much sand.
For example, boil 100 grams every day for at least 10 minutes in about 1.5 litres of water for a week.
