What is chicken grit plus?
Chicken Grit Plus is a blend of the following substances:
Sea shell grit contains a lot of calcium.
Oyster shell sand has the ability to regulate (increase) the pH and therefore support acidification. It is also a good source of calcium.
Lava contains a wide range of minerals and trace elements, including silicon. Many animals that feed on sand have silicon deficiencies.
When should it be used?
An essential part of the basic diet of all birds. Particularly for birds that lay a lot of eggs, such as hens.
