Huile de ricin BIO (Castor oil)

Organic castor oil is extremely versatile, making it a remarkable treatment for nourishing, strengthening and stimulating eyelashes, eyebrows, nails, cuticles and skin.

Castor oil contains ricinoleic acid, a derivative of oleic acid. In addition to its purgative action, ricinoleic acid prevents the growth of germs (bacteria, mould, etc.). It is also active in the treatment of certain skin problems (acne, dermatitis, fungal infections, inflammation, etc.).

castor oil is renowned for its protective and anti-oxidant properties. This multi-purpose vegetable oil is traditionally recommended for skin care.

Castor oil is obtained by first cold pressing the seeds of the castor plant, which grows in tropical and sub-tropical regions. Its thick, nourishing texture makes it ideal for protecting and strengthening nails, hair and eyelashes, and therefore horses' hooves, hair and manes. Its name is "castor oil", which has nothing to do with beaver oil.

Castor oil poultices are anti-pain, anti-oxidant, draining and detoxifying. Castor oil should be applied instead of the traditional "foot grease".

It is highly effective on sunburn, redness, oedema and abscesses, and as a 'purgative' (not to be confused with a laxative), as Irène Grosjean has been advising for 40 years.
