Laminitis is a condition triggered by various causes. These may include an unbalanced diet, or strain on the musculoskeletal system or metabolism. A reduction in microcirculation within the hoof leads to inflammation of the lamellar structures of the horse’s foot, which is extremely painful.

Our OxyProtekt contains plant-based antioxidants to neutralise free radicals. Free radicals are involved in all inflammatory processes.
 
Willow bark and meadowsweet improve blood flow and thus circulation, including within the hoof wall. This ensures that cells are better supplied with oxygen, nutrients and inflammatory mediators, whilst the removal of CO₂ and damaged cellular tissue is improved. The natural salicylates it contains can also help to relieve pain.
 
‘Resin Strong’ contains frankincense and myrrh, which are traditionally used to treat joint problems and support metabolism, and may help to reduce pain. Boswellic acid from frankincense has an effect similar to cortisone and supports the treatment of inflammation.
