Magma Eifel micronised lava promotes natural soil fertility.
Magma means solidified lava and in this case comes from the very fertile Eifel region in Germany. This beautiful region is renowned for its healthy livestock, unique vegetation and biodiversity. It owes this to its relatively young lava subsoil, which contains every conceivable metal and mineral we know and probably some we don't (yet).
It's a very popular region for tourists who still want to experience nature in all its exuberance, and can be reached in just a few hours from the Netherlands. Mineralogists from all over the world also visit this region and are delighted with their discoveries, finding extraordinary fossils and (semi-)precious stones.
For centuries, people have been using this soft volcanic rock in the garden on the premise that everything imaginable, and unimaginable, needs to be present for the complex processes in the soil to work optimally. After all, a system is only as strong as its weakest link.
 Based on the idea that the more we cultivate, plough and remove biomass from our soils, the more we will end up with a deficit somewhere, lava is a simple and inexpensive way of anticipating this situation. When we notice this deficiency in plants, it's not easy, or possible in the short term, to remedy it.
It is therefore preferable to prevent this problem by simply incorporating Magma into the growing system. Over the years, it will transform into clay, which also has many positive properties.
