For good digestion
Aniseed, caraway and fennel are typical aromatic plants that are given to treat stomach and intestinal problems, especially gastric ulcers, severe bloating and colic, but also to prevent them. This blend has also proved very effective for horses that tend to suffer from nervous colic. Horses love this mix, which also makes it easy to vary the taste of a feed.
In the case of gastric ulcers and disturbed intestines, it's best to mix the Anise-Cumin-Fennel mixture with a decoction of liquorice root. Add East Prussian herbs and/or bitter Amara herbs as a basic supplement. The Anise-cumin-fennel blend also promotes milk production. This blend is therefore very important for lactating mares!
