  • What is OKAPI MagenFit grain-free mash?

Mash is a traditional horse feed that our great-grandfathers used to give their animals in certain situations. This was particularly the case when horses were seriously ill, for example with colic. Sometimes they survived the crisis, but were then too exhausted to eat. However, mash was also given as a preventive measure to horses prone to colic, for example during changes in weather. Horses that had been pushed to their limits by frantic racing, for example during wars or similar situations, were also given mash. It was therefore mainly life-threatening situations that led to the preparation of mash.

OKAPI Mash without cereals MagenFit is a feed specially developed for horses, offering cereal-free support for horses with sensitive digestion. Horses' digestion can be particularly sensitive in situations such as climate change, hot and humid air or stress. This mash promotes digestion in a natural way, without any cereals!
