For example, a supplementary intake of zinc chelate cannot be optimally absorbed if copper from the mineral feed is absorbed at the same time. Ideally, one of the feeds should be given in the morning and the other in the evening. If this is not possible for logistical reasons, an interval of at least two hours between meals should be observed.
