OKAPI MuskelMineral is suitable for horses of all ages and breeds. It provides the body with high-quality minerals, trace elements and amino acids, whether for a young horse in full growth, a saddle horse trained for sport or an older horse in maintenance phase. Its use is particularly recommended for horses in the muscle development phase, in training or under increased physical stress. Young horses also benefit from a targeted supply of important micronutrients during their development and growth phases, which are necessary for healthy growth and the development of strong muscles. Thanks to its grain-free formula, MuskelMineral is also ideal for horses with sensitive metabolisms or breeds with special requirements.
Can I combine OKAPI MuskelMineral with other products?
OKAPI MuskelMineral can generally be combined with other feed. It is important to keep in mind the composition of the total ration to ensure that the horse's nutritional needs are optimally met. With regard to the mineral intake of horses, care should be taken not to give OKAPI MuskelMineral and single-mineral preparations, such as OKAPI Zink Plus or OKAPI Schwefel Plus (MSM), in the same meal. Many minerals are regulated in the body in relation to each other, and their simultaneous absorption can interfere with metabolism. For example, additional zinc cannot be optimally absorbed if copper from the mineral feed is absorbed at the same time.
Ideally, one of the foods should be given in the morning and the other in the evening. If this is not possible for logistical reasons, there should be an interval of at least two hours between meals. Prodic should also be given separately from OKAPI MuskelMineral, as it can bind minerals in the intestine, causing them to be eliminated in the faeces and thus reducing nutrient absorption.

Follow the feeding recommendations for OKAPI MuskelMineral: The general recommendation for OKAPI MuskelMineral refers to a horse weighing 600 kg. The recommended daily amount is a maximum of 500 g per day.
Adjusting the dose: If the horse weighs 300 kg, for example, the dose must be adjusted accordingly. The calculation is as follows: 500 g / 600 kg × 300 kg = 250 g per day
