What are Vitalcobs OKAPI?
Vitalcobs OKAPI are a special feed supplement for horses, made from a mixture of nutritious, protein-rich plants. They are particularly suitable for supplementing the diet of horses, especially when they are unable to absorb sufficient nutrients from hay due to dental problems, advanced age or difficult feeding habits.
Are Vitalcobs suitable for my horse?
Vitalcobs are particularly suitable for horses that need extra protein and herbs. These include older horses, which often have difficulty absorbing sufficient nutrients from their usual hay ration, as well as horses with dental problems, which find it difficult to chew and digest traditional hay. Vitalcobs can also be a valuable supplement for fussy horses that need more protein to maintain or increase their weight. For horses that, due to metabolic problems, must follow a strictly rationed hay-based diet, Vitalcobs can help increase the proportion of vital substances, especially if the hay is low in protein due to being mixed with straw. As Vitalcobs have a higher protein content, they should be used with caution in horses that are already receiving protein-rich hay or are sensitive to high amounts of protein, in order to avoid kidney overload.
