For regulating acid-base balance and skin care
The acid-base balance of many horses is disrupted due to poor nutrition. A diet high in protein and cereals, as well as overfeeding with concentrated feed, leads to acidification of the body. The resulting metabolic disorders cause dysfunction of the organs, skin and hooves, as well as impaired microcirculation. The body’s cells are no longer adequately supplied with nutrients, and gas exchange is impeded. A change in diet alone cannot resolve the problem. To dissolve acid deposits in the connective tissue and ensure the deacidification of cells, the body requires sodium bicarbonate, potassium, magnesium and zinc. Dezidum alkaline powder provides these substances.
For skin problems, particularly fungal infections, Dezidum can be mixed with water and used for washes and baths. The pH should be above 9.
