Unless otherwise advised by a vet or therapist, administer twice daily during the first week:
Horse: 1 scoop
Pony: 3/4 scoop
After the first week, reduce the frequency to once a day.
One scoop contains approximately 8 grams.
If administering the product several times a day is not practical, a daily dose or a dose every other day is sufficient; in this case, administer the maximum daily dose. The product remains effective, although the effects may take a little longer to become apparent.
Once an improvement is noted, you can switch to a maintenance dose. This is generally half the dose indicated on the packaging. Monitor the animal’s reaction closely when administering the product. A higher dose may be necessary at the start; the product can be administered safely at double the standard dose. Gradually reduce the dose to the minimum effective level once improvement has been achieved.
Some animals may experience a brief worsening of symptoms or a severe reaction at the start of treatment. In the event of a severe flare-up, halve the dose or temporarily suspend administration, then gradually increase it again.
Administration
May be administered with food. Moisten the food or the powder (if using dry food) to prevent the product from scattering out of the bowl.
Duration of treatment
In acute cases, the duration of treatment with Phytonics Gluco Balance (500 g) is relatively short, ranging from a few days to 3 weeks. Continue administering the product for a few days after an improvement becomes apparent. In cases of chronic conditions, the effects generally become apparent after 1 to 3 weeks.
This product can be administered over the long term. It is advisable to take a one-week break every 6 to 8 weeks; this allows the ‘stimulus’ to be effectively reintroduced after the interruption. Resume treatment immediately if necessary.

Storage
Store in a dry place at a temperature between 5 and 20 °C, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children. The expiry date is indicated on the label or on the underside of the packaging.
