  • PUUR Glucosamine Extra 500 g for horses/ponies is a complete dietary supplement specially formulated to support equine joint health. It promotes joint health, cartilage strength, synovial fluid flexibility, and the resilience of tendons, ligaments, and joint capsules. Enriched with herbs and nutrients, this supplement provides everything your horse needs to move effortlessly and maintain long-term vitality.

As horses age, their joints may begin to cause problems. This can result in less flexible movement, difficulty standing or walking, or a decrease in energy during training and daily activities. These signs indicate that the joints need extra support. Paying attention to joint health early on helps your horse stay comfortable and active.

Glucosamine is a substance naturally produced by the body that plays a key role in maintaining joint health. It is naturally present in the body, particularly in the joints, where it contributes to flexible movement and healthy cartilage. In young horses, glucosamine production is sufficient, but it often decreases with age. Since glucosamine is not present in a normal diet, a supplement such as PUUR Glucosamine Extra is an ideal addition.

With this supplement, you provide your horse not only with the benefits of glucosamine, but also with the additional support of carefully selected herbs and nutrients. This helps your horse stay active, flexible, and comfortable, even after years of hard work and activity.

  • Dosage

1 to 2 times a day (1 measuring spoon contains approximately 9 grams)

    Horse: 1 measuring spoon

    Pony: 2/3 measuring spoon

If it proves difficult in practice to administer this product several times a day, once a day or once every other day is sufficient. In that case, give the maximum daily dose. This product remains effective in this scenario, but the effects may take a little longer to appear.

Note: The version for horses differs from that for dogs due to the presence of ginger in PUUR Glucosamine Extra 500 g.

    Administration

Can be administered in food. Moisten the powder so it does not blow out of the feeder. Closely monitor the animal’s reaction. Ensure the animal gets the necessary rest, but also make sure it gets exercise. If the animal experiences pain when moving, it is advisable to take it for regular walks over short distances. Walking in a straight line is particularly beneficial for maintaining joint flexibility and strengthening ligaments and tendons. Avoid sudden stops and turns, such as when playing with other animals. This places too much strain on the muscles, tendons, and joints.

    Duration of Treatment

In cases of persistent discomfort, the effect is generally noticeable after 2 to 3 weeks. If the condition improves, you can switch to a maintenance dose. This is usually half the dose indicated on the package. When administering this product, closely monitor the animal’s reaction. Initially, a higher dose may be necessary; PUUR Glucosamine Extra 500 g can be safely administered at double the dose. Gradually reduce the dose to the lowest possible dose. This product can be administered continuously.
