Product description
Bokashi is a Japanese word meaning 'fermented organic matter'. This bokashi is made with EM. Fermentation is an anaerobic (oxygen-free) process which, unlike composting, does not generate excessive heat and therefore retains all the energy in the product. During the fermentation process of our soil using bokashi, a multitude of bioactive substances are formed, which are essential for soil health and therefore for the plant.
These bioactive substances include
- antioxidants
- vitamins
- growth hormones
- natural antibiotics
- enzymes
- organic acids and
- mineral chelates
This makes this entirely organic bokashi a very high-quality food that remains effective for a long time. Nutrition for the soil and the small creatures that live in it, from earthworms to micro-organisms. Together, they form a complex symbiosis that makes all the essential nutrients available to the plant.
Bokashi ensures that positive micro-organisms are present from the outset to maintain balance and that negative micro-organisms do not have the opportunity to multiply excessively and cause problems.
Recommended use:
300-400 g per m² / 1-2 times per year.
Simply sprinkle on the soil, moisten lightly and water.
Can also be used as a starter for homemade compost.
Then wait at least 1 week before sowing, as bokashi has a low pH (< 4) and direct contact could damage the roots of the new seedling.
