White bentonite clay can be used in various ways to meet your horse’s specific needs. It is essential not to allow it to come into contact with metal objects, in order to preserve its properties.
Horse, double pony: in water, dilute 30 g per litre of water and make this solution available in a separate bucket. In the feed: add 30 g (2 level scoops) directly to the feed or mix with a little water (50 ml) and administer directly into the mouth using a feeding syringe.
Pony: in your pony’s drinking water, dilute 15 g per litre of water and make this solution available in a separate bucket. In the feed: add 15 g (1 level scoop) directly to the feed or mix with a little water (50 ml) and administer directly into the mouth using a feeding syringe.
Introduce gradually to ensure your horse accepts the feed.
Avoid excessively high doses or long-term use, as this may lead to constipation.
15 grams = one level scoop
Precautions for use: do not mix with oil: the combination of clay and oil can form compact lumps, increasing the risk of blockage.
Medication: Do not give clay at the same time as medication or other dietary supplements; wait at least 2 hours, as it may reduce their effectiveness. Clay should not be given on a permanent basis, as this could limit the absorption of certain nutrients; prolonged use could lead to certain deficiencies. White clay may be administered internally to pregnant mares under veterinary supervision.
