Metabo'Light is a 100% natural feed supplement for overweight horses or ponies unable to lose weight despite a strict diet. It is also recommended to support equines and donkeys that are insulin-resistant, chronically overweight and/or suffering from equine metabolic syndrome.
Metabo'Light supports horses at risk:
- Overweight and/or obese horses
- Horses going out to grass in the spring
- Horses with a history of laminitis
- Affected horses with a disturbed endocrine system (Cushing/PSSM/SME)
- In conjunction with a strict cereal-free diet, a CMV supplement is recommended.

The liver is responsible for storing SUGAR: when there is excess glucose in the blood (hyperglycaemia) following a meal of grain, for example, the pancreas secretes insulin which instructs the liver to capture and store this glucose in the form of glycogen. (laminitis/cushing/SME)
Conversely, when blood glucose levels are too low (hypoglycaemia), the pancreas secretes glucagon, which instructs the liver to release stored glucose to bring blood glucose levels back to normal.
